17 Jun Wine Walk 2016
Wine Walk – Saturday, September 10, 2 to 6pm
Enjoy an afternoon exploring Downtown San Mateo at this popular event. Downtown merchants open their shops as Tasting Rooms where you can sip and savor wines from California and beyond. Merchants also partner with local restaurants or provide light bites to nibble while you taste. Check out video highlights from last year!
Participating wineries include Enoteca Five, Flying Suitcase, Fortino, Hunter DeHaven, Jazz Cellars, Moody Ridge, Pat Paulsen, Renner, Russian Ridge, Wrights Station, and the Calaveras Wine Grape Alliance.
Each of our thirteen tasting rooms offers a unique experience. This year you’ll find tastings at 3 Bees Coffee House, Appelblom Jewelry, Baking Arts, Bay Home & Linens, Carlyle Jewelers, Cheap Pete’s Frame Factory, Christensen & Rafferty Fine Jewelers, Draeger’s, Edmond’s Plaza Florist, Equinox, The Futon Shop, Site for Sore Eyes and US Bank. See the map.
Many tasting rooms offer appetizers from local dining spots such as Amici’s, Block 34, Eden Silk Road, The Melting Pot, Pacific Catch, Porterhouse, Suruki Supermarket, Three Restaurant & Bar, and Tomatina. As you walk the neighborhood, you’ll also enjoy music by the Dave Rocha Trio, and Joyful Voice Opera Cafe.
Tickets are $36 advance purchase, $40 day of event.
Music, prizes and a lively atmosphere are all part of the Wine Walk experience, and the event ends just in time for dinner, so you can enjoy San Mateo’s well-known restaurant scene and make the most of your time downtown.
