Planning for the future of Downtown San Mateo

You’re invited to an important conversation about the future of downtown San Mateo.  As you may know, the City of San Mateo is updating its Downtown Specific Plan, and needs to hear from all kinds of stakeholders to envision a future that works for everyone. You can read more about the process at and in this recent news story.

The tech sector is a valuable and growing part of the downtown business community. It’s important for your company and others like it to make your voices heard in the planning process. What are the pros and cons of growing a business here? What do you value in a downtown workplace and environment? Land use, mobility, business mix, pedestrian environment, public spaces and more are all up for discussion.

We’re hosting a conversation specifically for the downtown tech community. Please come share your ideas and concerns with the planning team.

When:   Thursday, March 9, 4:00 to 5:00pm

Where:  400 Ben Franklin Court (in the pedestrian passage between 3rd & 4th Ave., behind Draper University)
